Our gear alignment service is now an invaluable part of the type-testing/approval process for most multi-MW wind turbine
gearboxes worldwide. Our unique, miniature wireless (battery powered) systems allow reliable alignment measurements
to be made of all meshes in multi-stage rotating epicyclic, whilst our latest advances in power management allow
the modules to be retained for in-service condition monitoring for up to 5 years with no battery changes.
Our engineers have significant experience in developing bespoke load cell and load measuring transducers. The range includes
micro miniature load cells used inside automotive chain tensioners to large industrial 6-axis rotating dynamometers.
Our team can provide a rapid strain gauge installation service at the customer's site. Our strain gauge based systems operate
in sea water environment, inside modern internal combustion engines, inside industrial gearboxes operating at
high speed, high temperature and oil environment.
We specialise in the design and manufacture of in-service data logging devices. Our dataloggers operate in wind turbines,
gas turbines, marine propulsion systems, commercial and off-road vehicles, aircraft, railway vehicles, mines,
etc. With state-of-the-art multichannel frequency analysers, we offer on-site measurements and diagnostics of
industrial rotating machinery.
Transmission Dynamics specialise in micro-geometry optimisation of gears, focusing on minimising Transmission Error
(TE) to reduce gear noise and vibration. Transmission Error is a function of gear geometry design (both macro
and micro-geometry) and its influenced by manufacturing errors, gear load and mesh misalignment.
Our experienced staff are able to conduct a range of noise and vibration measurements and analyses using state-of-the-art
data acquisition and processing equipment.
